Publicity and Propaganda, Etc.
Public lectures to Voluntary Guilds and Institutes and Church organisations.
etc., on health topics were given during the year. The Chairman of
the Public Health Committee also made reference at a number of Council
meetings to health subjects. Poster displays regarding Diphtheria immunisation
and health topics were also given prominence.
The Department participated in the Essex Ideal Home and Industries
Exhibition which took place at Gordon Fields from 13th to 27th July, 1957.
Two stands displayed various activities including food hygiene, prevention
and measurement of atmospheric pollution and rodent control.
