1. Rainfall.
Total rainfall registered in the district during the year was 23 01
inches: the greatest fall in 24 hours was registered on 9th July, 139
inches. November was the wettest month.
2. Population.
The number of patients and resident staff on the 30th June, 1950. at

3. Births.
The number of births registered during the year was 2,406.

4. Deaths.
The total number of deaths of Ilford residents was 1,763. This is
obtained by taking the total deaths registered in the district (1,707). subtracting
the deaths of non-residents occurring in the district (455), and
adding the deaths of Ilford residents registered as having died in other
districts (511).
The number of deaths of non-residents registered in the district
(principally in large institutions) was as follows: —
