Of the 75 deaths which occurred of Ilford residents, notification had
previously been made of 66 of the cases. Of the other nine, two were notified
after death; seven were not notified (9.3 per cent. of the deaths or a ratio of
1 in 11). Of these seven in two instances the notification was overlooked; in
four instances the presence of tuberculosis was discovered at Post-Mortem; and
one other death included by the Registrar-General was untraceable.
