Pasteurised Milk24222The analyses of the unsatisfactory samples showed a high B. Coli Content. In one case supplies were obtained from a neighbouring Borough and the Local Medical Officer was informed. In the other case the retailer was communicated with and re-sampling ordered at a later date.
Heat-Treated Milk22157All these unsatisfactory samples failed to satisfy the Methylene Blue Reduction Test. Investigations were made as to bottling arrangements and re-sampling was ordered at a later date.
Ungraded Milk32275In all these samples, the analyses showed a high B. Coli Content. In one case the Medical Officer of Health of a neighbouring County Borough and firm concerned were advised. Investigations and re-sampling were ordered in the remaining cases.
Ice Cream27198Two samples from a vendor were considered by the Analyst to be grossly impure. The Medical Officer of Health, East Ham, in whose area the ice cream was manufactured was notified—see (viii) below. The Town Clerk sent a letter of warning to one retailer calling attention to the dirty condition of the ice cream servers and wafer maker. In the remaining instances the vendors were advised and re-sampling ordered at a later date.
