Training of Probationer Nurses.—During 1936, 5 nurses
passed Part I of the examination of the General Nursing Council,
and 15 obtained the Certificate by completing Part II (11 of these
being Staff Nurses).
The following table shows the number of the Staff at the Isolation Hospital who were Schick and Dick Tested during 1936, and also the number inoculated:—

Two members of the Nursing Staff contracted Scarlet Fever
during the year.
Isolation Hospital Extensions.— New Mortuary and Garages.
The two buildings were erected and completed in 1936 at a total
cost of £4,579, excluding the cost of constructing the roads around
these blocks and the boundary walls.
The Mortuary building comprises the following:—Mortuary,
Viewing Room, Visitors' Room, Post Mortem Room and Shell
Room.
The building is of one storey built of red brick with flat roof.
