Diphtheria has been prevalent in the Town, principally
during the earlier months of the year.
The effects of Immunization against Diphtheria, which has
been extensively carried out among the child population of the
eastern portion of the Town, is now making itself felt, and the
number of cases for that part of the District, shows a very considerable
decline.
After two years of heavy incidence, Scarlet Fever was less
prevalent.
