PREFACE.
Public Health Department,
Ilford.
April nth, 1916.
To the Chairman and Members of the
ILFORD URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Gentlemen,
I herewith present my Annual Report for the year 1915.
In the interests of economy it is considerably abbreviated.
During the year the Council was fortunate in maintaining
its medical and dental staff intact and substantial
progress was made.
The health of the town continues to be good, although
the infantile mortality has increased.
The new Tuberculosis Pavilion at the Isolation Hospital,
giving accommodation to twelve patients, was completed
during the year and is now in use.
In conclusion I should like to thank the officials and staff
of the Public Health Department and the Hospital for the
interest and zeal they have shown in the work during the
past year.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
GEOFFREY E. OATES.
