DISINFECTION AND CLEANSING AFTER
INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
The disinfection of bedding, clothing, etc., is carried
out at the Isolation Hospital. Infected rooms are sprayed
with a 1 in 20 solution of cyllin. In many cases a solution
of formalin, 1 in 50, is used.
Considerable use was made during the year of Section 5
of the Infectious Diseases (Prevention) Act, 1890. 59 notices
were served under this section to cleanse rooms.
