Public Library.
At the annual election of Library Commissioners in the
month of June, 1894, Messrs. Richard Garnett, George P.
Willoughby, and A. Cow per Ranyard, were elected. In
the course of the year, in consequence of the lamented death
of Mr. Ranyard, a vacancy occurred, which was filled by the
appointment of Mr. Gilbert Smith.
The work of erecting the Public Library is being rapidly
progressed with, and the report of the Library Commissioners,
which has been printed and circulated among the inhabitants,
contains information as to the work being carried on.
The amount of the precept for the ensuing year will be that
realised by the rate of 1d. in the £.
