Inspector Blatchford and Sergeant Sergeant of the Bow Street E Sub-division, have the supervision cf all of the houses, with the exception of No. 14, Lumber Court, which is attached to the Vine Street C Sub-division, under Inspector Shannon and Sergeant Lane.

Under the provisions of the 59th section of the Housing
of the Working Classes Act, 1890 (53 & 54 Vict., ch. 70),
the Local Authority, the London County Council are erecting
a common lodging house in Parker Street, Drury Lane.
The building will be of 3 blocks to accommodate 320
persons, and there will be a separate building for laundry
purposes. As this is to be the first building of the kind, the
London County Council intend it to serve as a model.
