deaths equalled a death-rate of 15.3 per 1,000.
There were five deaths from preventible diseases, viz.
measles 2, whooping-cough 2 and diarrhoea 1, or a zymotic
death-rate of 3.4 per 1,000.
Fourteen children died under 5 years of age, or an infantile
death-rate of 9.7 per 1,000.
