The Board has also entered into Contracts with several
Paving Companies for the maintenance of wood and asphalte
pavements in various streets in the district, the Contracts in
most cases extending over a period of fifteen years from the
date of the formation of the pavements ; and also with several
Contractors, Tradesmen and others for the supply of ironwork,
drain pipes, lime and cement, &c., and the execution of
works of repairs and the supply of goods and materials.
