Marriages and Marriage-rate.
Last year 364 marriages were celebrated in the parish churches, Roman Catholic, and Nonconformist places of worship, and at the Superintendent Registrar's Office, all of the buildings being situated in the District.

inhabitants.

were registered, equal to a rate of 14.1 per 1,000.
In England and Wales, the marriages were 408,698, and
equal to a rate of 15.3 per 1,000.
