*Col. A. gives the number of the Inhabitants of each District who expired in 1862, in the Public Institution of other Districts; these figures must be added to the Registered
Mortality. Col. B. gives the number of Inhabitans of other Localities, who died in the same year in the Public Institutions of the Districts named; these figures have to be subtracted
from the Registered Mortality. (See Appendix Table II.)
t This number 3 requires to be added as the balance of certain errors in the Registered Mortality. Since this table and those of the Appendix were constructed, however, there
has been found reason to believe that five deaths (three registered in the District and two in Hospitals) have been entered by mistake, the persons having resided beyond the limits
of St. Giles's.
