The deaths in the Workhouse and in the Asylums are included in the
returns from the sub-district of Camberwell.
* The years 1857 and 1863 comprised 53 Saturdays and the returns therefore 53 weeks. To render the series uniform, the actual numbers of Deaths and Births
returned during these years have been reduced in the Tables in the ratio of 53 to 52.
