execution of these much needed works.
Watering In reference to Road Watering, General Improvements,
ments, &c. Building lines of Frontage, &c., submitted for the opinion
of the Vestry by the Metropolitan Board of Works, and
other matters of detail, these are so frequently presented to
your notice by the Committees who have especial charge of
these subjects, that I need not enlarge upon them in this
Report, as they do not afford any material points for your
consideration beyond what has already been laid before you.
LIGHTING.
Lighting. During the past year the applications for additional
Lighting have received the careful consideration of the
Lighting Committee, and the result is as follows,—
5 Additional Lamps
30 Alterations.
Making a total during the last three years, of
178 Additional Lamps
147 Alterations.
The number of public Lights and the Companies which
supply the same, are as follow,—
South Metropolitan 1139
Phoenix 56
Crystal Palace 6
Total 1201
Conclusion. To conclude this Report, I beg to add, although it may
be considered that within the parish during the past year no
