Remedial Unit for Retarded Children
This small unit has been in operation since September 1965.
The pupils who attend are of at least average intelligence, but for
a variety of reasons very backward educationally. A number, although
of secondary school age, are non-readers and all require individual
attention and special coaching. There is a high degree of co-operation
between the work of the teachers at the unit and the child's normal
school.
Health Education
Details of activities which took place in schools and youth
centres are reported on pages 19 and 20.
