PERSONAL HEALTH SERVICES
CARE OF MOTHERS AND YOUNG CHILDREN
The Borough Council took over eight clinic premises from
Surrey County Council and the following tables show the numbers of
ante and post-natal sessions held by medical officers and health
visitors and the attendances at each of the clinics during the Year.
The Kingston Vale and Hamilton Avenue sessions were carried out by staff from the Roselands and South Place clinics respectively and no separate records are available.

Midwives also attended at the majority of these sessions
and in addition there were 174 sessions held by midwives only, at
which 820 women made 3,687 attendances.
5,565 attendances were made at ante-natal, mothercraft and
relaxation classes held at the clinics listed above.
