HOUSING
During the year only seven applications for Certificates of
Disrepair under the Rent Act, 1957 were made, as compared with
sixteen in 1959 and eighty in 1958.
With regard to statutory action under the provisions of the
Housing Act, 1957, Closing Orders were made in respect of No. 9,
Gloucester Road and Nos. 171, 173 and 175, London Road. A
Demolition Order was made in respect of No. 152, Canbury Park Road
and the Clearance Order made in 1959 in respect of Nos. 77A- 99
(odd) Park Road was confirmed by the Minister during the year.
In accordance with Ministry of Health Circular 28/54, the following information in tabular form, as required by article 31 of the Housing (Consolidated) Regulations is included.
