9. CAMPING SITES.
There are no camping sites within the Borough and no
licences to station caravans in accordance with Section 269
of the Public Health Act, 1936 were issued during the year.
10. ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION.
The serious consequences of the "smog' which blanketed
the Greater London Area in December of 1952 have focussed
attention upon the need for early and positive action to
reduce the incidence of atmospheric pollution. The Interim
Report of the Committee on Air Pollution outlines the problem
in a very concise way and makes recommendations for remedial
action.
