Very valuable service is being rendered by the
District Nurses in the care of the aged, sometimes assisted
by domestic helps from the Corporation Home Help Scheme.
It is interesting to note that one-third of the
cases treated by the District Nurses were over seventy
years of age.
(2) Infectious Diseases. In Measles, Whooping
Cough and Epidemic Diarrhoea, the Health Visitors are under
instruction to visit the cases and give practical advice as
to the best methods of nursing them.
