Scabies - During the year the scheme for treating cases
and contacts of scabies continued to operate as described
in previous reports.
The cleansing was undertaken by Civil Defence Personnel
under supervision of Health Visitors and, with the disbandment
of the Civil Defence Force in June, 1945, authority
was given for the engagement of one male and female assistant,
both of whom work part-time.
The following tables show the numbers of persons treated
during the year 1945, and the three preceding years.
