Spraying and fumigation of houses and steam treatment
of bedding, etc. is carried out at the request of occupiers
in cases other than ordinary notifiable diseases. A suitable

of rubbish are likely to exist. The ventilation of the
premises is important, especially in summer-time, and where
natural means of ventilation are depended upon to keep the
atmosphere reasonably satisfactory. Visits in connection
with ventilation are made at irregular periods and whilst
the performances are on, but it is very difficult to obtain
reliable information as to the condition of the atmosphere
by the " senses " only.

knowledge of the normal working of a theatre.
