A summary of the work from April to December 31st is as follows :—

Of the 435 cases Schick tested, 68 were found to be
immune. There were only 8 cases still positive on re-test
after treatment and these received two further injections
of T.A.M.
No cases of Diphtheria were notified during the year
among immunised children.
ENTERIC FEVER.
Two cases of enteric fever were notified during August.
Ihey were admitted to the Kingston & District Hospital
and made good recoveries. The sera in both cases
agglutinated suspensions of B. Typhosus. There was no
connection between the cases, and exhaustive investigations
into the circumstances failed to trace the source of infection.
PNEUMONIA.
The number of cases notified was 21, compared with
34 and 43 for the last two years.
PUERPERAL FEVER AND PUERPERAL PYREXIA.
