The number of other food premises such as restaurants
and cooked food rooms continues to increase. There appears
to be a bigger demand than ever for ready cooked foods,
and if the sales continue to increase at the same rate one
may envisage the day at no very distant date when home
cooked meals will become important but infrequent events.
The total number of visits to food premises during
1934 was 1,821.
