Seventy houses were surveyed thoroughly as required
by the Housing Consolidated Regulations 1925, and the
details of structure, general conditions, tenancy, ownership,
etc. together with a copy of the informal notice served (if
any) were filed for future reference.
The situation of these 70 houses is as follows:—

Apart from the houses dealt with by Clearance Area
procedure, the undermentioned houses were reported to
the Corporation under Sections 19 and 21 of the Housing
Act 1930. These sections relate to dwelling houses which
cannot be made fit for human habitation at reasonable
cost having regard to the ultimate value of the premises
