PNEUMONIA.
The number of cases notified was 34, compared with
43 and 32 for the last two years.
PUERPERAL FEVER AND PUERPERAL PYREXIA.
Comment on these diseases will be found under Section
B of the Report (Maternity and Child Welfare, Sub-section
ii).

OPHTHALMIA NEONATORUM.

A Health Visitor is instructed to visit immediately upon notification, and enquire into the circumstances of the case. Cases notified during 1934:—

Arrangements have been made with the London
County Council for the reception and treatment of cases
of Opthalmia Neonatorum from the Borough, at St.
Margaret's Hospital, Kentish Town, N.W.5.
Application for the admission of cases to be made by the
Medical Officer of Health of the Borough, who will arrange
for the conveyance of patients to and from the Hospital.
The charge is to be at the rate of 10s. per patient per
day.
No case was sent to Hospital under this scheme during
the year.
TUBERCULOSIS.
Cases of Tuberculosis notified in the Borough come
under the administrative control of the Surrey Countv
Council.
Every effort is made to assist the County Medical
Officer and Tuberculosis Officer in their activities in the
area.
