SCARLET FEVER.
The incidence of Scarlet Fever continues to be low, in
fact, the number of cases notified, as seen from the above
table, is the smallest since the War.
The type of case has been mild. No deaths.
DIPHTHERIA.
From the above table it will be seen that the number of
cases notified is lower than last year and there has been a
steady decrease since the peak year of 1928.
The type has varied from mild bacteriological cases to
those of extreme virulence. Five deaths have occurred
among the latter class.
