This work involved certain new drainage, and an investigation
showed that practically the whole of the existing
drainage system was defective. The proposed works could
not be carried out whilst the school was in use, and it was
arranged, therefore, to be completed as far as possible
during the Christmas vacation. Despite very adverse
weather conditions, the contractors made good progress,
but the works were not completed by the end of the year
and no details are included in the present Report. It is
anticipated that further works will be carried out during the
Summer vacation of 1931.
CONCLUSION.
I again desire to thank you, Mr. Chairman, and the
Members of the Public Health Committee and Corporation
generally, for your consideration and support during the
year, and the Officers of other departments who are always
very willing to afford me assistance and information.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
HAROLD T. PERRY, F.S.I.A., M.R.S.I.,
Chief Sanitary Inspector.
Municipal Offices,
Kingston-upon-Thames.
June, 1931.
