INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
SMALLPOX.
The following Special Report on an outbreak of
Smallpox was submitted to the Public Health Committee.
Copies were sent to the Ministry of Health and to the Surrey
County Council.
Report on an outbreak of Smallpox, May, 1928.
I submit the following; report on an outbreak of
Smallpox that occurred in the Borough of Kingston-uponThames
during the week ended May 19th, 1928. Seven
cases were notified, and in addition I was informed of one
suspected case. All the patients were removed to the Surrey
Smallpox Hospital, East Clandon. A tabulated list of the
patients in the order of notification, together with the
essential particulars relating to each case, is detailed below.

All these cases were notified to me from "H" Ward,
Kingston and District Hospital, where they had been inpatients
for varying periods,
