Cases of Tuberculosis in the Borough come under the
administrative control of the Surrey County Council.
Maternity.
The Kingston Nursing Association, 33, Birkenhead
Avenue, re-commenced District Midwifery work in the
autumn, but decided not to re-open the Maternity Home.
Four private Maternity Homes are registered by the
Surrey County Council at the following addresses in the
Borough:—
Mrs. Burns: 9/11, Minerva Road. 8 beds.
Mrs. Burrows: 35, Balmoral Road. 1 bed.
Miss Duckett: 31, Queen's Road. 5 beds.
Mrs. Evans: 22, Fairfield South. 2 beds.
The Kingston and District Hospital (Board of
Guardians) have Maternity Wards.
