1f possible, employ methods of Group A., as they effect
a Permanent Cure.
As regards Group B., No. 4, the film of oil on the
surface of the water enters the breathing tubes of the larvae
and suffocates them.
Should No. 5 be employed, a form of Jeyes' Fluid
known as White Cross Disinfectant will kill the larvae if
added to infested water in as small a proportion as one part
in 30,000 Water thus treated is quite harmless if drunk by
human beings or animals.
Method No. G is very useful in the case of ornamental
lakes, etc.
Get Rid of Mosquitoes by Abolishing
their Breeding Places or by Killing the
Larvæ in Early Spring.
