March, 1924.
To the Corporation of Kingston-upon-Thames.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present my Annual Report for
the Year 1923.
The general health of the Borough has been satisfactory
and the death-rate was very low.
There was no undue prevalence of Infectious Disease,
and the remarkable fall in the number of cases of Diphtheria
is noteworthy.
I thank Mr. H. T. Perry, your Chief Sanitary Inspector,
and the Staff of the Public Health Department for their
loyal support during the year.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
E. W. MATTHEWS,
Medical Officer of Health.
