The question of equipping the fleet of ambulances with ' radio" was investigated
from all aspects In deciding not to adopt this method of inter communication
cognizance was taken of the fact that our vehicles were employed largely in the built-up
London area in which telephone communication is always readily available and had never
failed us In addition the initial cost of installation was high and that of subsequent
maintenance not inconsiderable Should the need become imperative for "radio" contact
and control the question can be reviewed again.
