INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
(a) Milk Supply. The number of milk distributors registered at the close
of the year was 128 and the number of dairies 11.
The following licences were issued to use special designations
prescribed in the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations, 1949:-

Milk samples submitted for bacteriological examination are summarised as follows:-

The three unsatisfactory samples failed to satisfy the Methylene Blue
test. Investigations of records at dairies and repeat samples showed that
pasteurising plants were working efficiently.
