I treated the 79 other Scarlet Fever patients with sulphonamides
and an alkaline mixture with excellent results. The number of
complications is considerably less than in those treated with serum
and the pain and discomfort of an injection, and the frequent serum
rash are thus avoided.
There were no deaths.
Whooping Cough.

Uncomplicated Whooping Cough Cases 5
Whooping Cough and Broncho Pneumonia 10
There were no deaths.
Measles.

Measles and Broncho Pneumonia 1
Measles and Nasal Diphtheria 1
There were no deaths.
Cerebro Spinal Meningitis.
Number of Notified Cases 5
Revision of Diagnosis 3
Otitis Media with vomiting and Pyrexia 1
Rubella 1
Central Pneumonia 1
Two patients proved to be cases of Cerebro Spinal Meningitis
Both completely recovered with Sulphapyridine treatment.
