TUBERCULOSIS AMD CHEST CLINIC.
Notifications.
The number of primary notifications of all forms of tuberculosis
during the year 1943 was 264,as compared with 24.4 for 1942. Of the
primary notifications of pulmonary tuber culosis, in 26.7 per cent
tubercle baccilli were found in the sputum.
Statistical.
The total number of notified cases on the register of the Clinic or
December,1943 was 949 (pulmonary and non-pulmonary)or 10.2 per
1,000 estimated population, as opposed to 860 or 9.6. per 1,000 population
in the previous year.
