APPLICATIONS FOR INNOCULATION AGAINST TYPHOID FEVER.
No applications made in 1943, compared with none in 1942 and
6 in 1941.
MIDWIVES ACTS, 1902 - 1936.
The number of midwives who notified their intention to practice
in the area during 1943 was 27. Of this number 12 worked In connection
with the Maternity Hospital and District Nurses Home, Plaistow,
and its Branches, 3 from Tates Nurses Home, Silvertown, 1 from Forest
Gate Hospital, 5 from East Ham Memorial Hospital, and 6 practised
independently, including three Municipal Midwives.
