For the first time for eight years there was one death from
Scarlet Fever. This was a case of intense Toxaemia, which did
not respond in any way to serum and sulphonamido therapy. Such
cases are fortunately very rare nowadays.
WHOOPING COUGH.

Of these 29 Cases:-
Uncomplicated Whooping Cough Cases 14
Whooping Cough and Measles 1
Whooping Cough and Broncho Pneumonia 11
Whooping Cough and Meningismus 1
Whooping Cough and Bronchitis 2
There was one death from Broncho Fneumonia complicating a very
severe case of Whooping Cough in a child aged 18 months.
