In consequence of the service of the foregoing requisitions

(d) RAT EXTERMINATION
During the year, 1748 visits were made to properties in the
Borough, and 1,592 rats wore destroyed.
(e) RAG FLOCK ACTS.
11 samples from users' premises were submitted for analysis and
two failed to comply with the regulations, the chlorine contents per
100,000 parts of flock being, as follows:-
170 and 50 parts.
In the former case legal proceedings were instituted.
BOUSING.
(a) OVERCROWDING.
During the year a further 128 cases of overcrowding were relieved
and 6 now cases were reported. With the evacuation of school
children the position of many families tending to overcrowding has
been relieved.
