Puerperal Fever and Puerperal Pyrexia.
Eighteen cases of Puerperal Pyrexia were notified during
the year.
Maternal Mortality
There were four deaths associated directly with pregnancy.
The Maternal mortality rate was, therefore, 2.09 per 1,000 live and
still births.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum
During 1938, nine cases of Ophthalmia Neonatorum were
notified.
