(h) Smallpox.
The Council is in negotiation with the London County Council
for the provision of hospital accommodation.
(i) East Ham Memorial Hospital.
The work of the Hospital and Public Health Department
becomes more closely associated each year, and I acknowledge
with gratitude the help of the Committee and Honorary Medical
Staff.
The number of beds is 104. The following tables are
abstracted from the hospital report for 1938: —
