(d). Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of
Food.
The analysis of foodstuffs is carried out by Dr. Bernard Dyer,
Public Analyst, London, and bacteriological examinations by the
Counties Public Health Laboratories, London. Bacteriological
examinations were made of shrimps, winkles, cockles and watercress.
The watercress was reported to shew evidence of pollution
by sewage, and the attention of the authority of the district
wherein the watercress was grown was drawn to the adverse
report.
