A carbon-arc lamp and a mercury vapour lamp have been
installed in the Light Room at the Manor Park Clinic and it is
proposed to carry out light treatment at the sessions indicated
in the above table.
The increase in the number of Light sessions at Manor Park
and eventually at the Town Hal], preclude such duties being wholly
allocated to the present nursing staff. For this reason, additional
staff will be required to maintain this service efficiently. These
requirements cannot be viewed alone : they have a direct association
with other work of the Public Health Department and are
closely connected with administration of other services likely to
eventuate.
It is recommended that a Sister, trained in radiography and
light treatment, should be appointed to supervise generally, and
to undertake personally, to a great extent, the work of the
sunlight clinics in the Borough.

radiographer being required for two half-day X-ray sessions per
