It is with pleasure that I take this opportunity of thanking
the Members of the Council for the confidence they have placed
in me, and for their continued interest and encouragement.
I desire, also, to acknowledge my indebtedness to the Chief
Officers of the Council for their kind assistance on many occasions,
and to the members of the Public Health staff for the loyalty and
devotion to duty which have conduced, so largely, to the efficiency
and smooth running of the Department during a year of exceptional
activity.
