(b) Not directly due to tuberculosis—
Pyorrhoea and dental caries 5, diabetes mellitus 2,
bronchitis and emphysema 2, pneumokoniosis 1,
boils and skin disease 2, epilepsy 1, etc.
The recreational facilities for the patients continue to be
numerous and varied. Towards the end of the year the billiard
table was reconditioned and during the coming year it is proposed
to convert the croquet lawn into a putting-green.
Finally it is my pleasant duty to thank those members of
dramatic societies who so kindly come during the winter months
and give entertainments. Both patients and staff thoroughly
enjoy their very good performances and look forward for days
beforehand to each concert or play.
