Sight-saving Class.—This class continues to hold a useful
place in the treatment of delicate eyes which have to be protected
from over-work. The boys find it easier to be merry and bright
possibly than the girls as the former take their oral lessons in the
ordinary classes, which, unfortunately, the girls cannot. It
appears that East Ham do particularly well by this uncommon
arrangement, which removes some of the feeling of isolation these
pupils have.
The School Medical Service and the optical and clerical staff
have all been most efficiently helpful.
I have the honour to be, Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
S. C. REEVE-FLAXMAN.
