During the year 1931, 7 patients received treatment at the
School Aural Clinic.
Treatment by Artificial Sunlight.
Two sessions weekly have been held until May of this year
for the purpose of giving Ultra Violet Ray treatment by means of
the Arnold Alpine Sunlight Radial Arc Lamp. As already stated
in last year's report the conditions under which this form of treatment
is carried out is by no means satisfactory for children under
five years of age, as the rooms are required for use by the School
Medical Service, and, therefore, the time allotted to the Maternity
and Child Welfare Department is necessarily limited, taking also
into consideration other adverse circumstances it was deemed
advisable to discontinue the Sunlight Clinic until the new clinic in
Manor Park is opened when satisfactory arrangements can be
made for giving this particular form of treatment.
The statistics for 1931 are as follows:—
Number of Light sessions held 36
Number of attendances at these sessions 876

difficult feeding, and children who have been referred to the
Medical Officer by the Health Visitors from their district visits.
Special Morning Clinics are held at:—

Monday and Wednesday, at 10 a.m.
The statistics for 1931 are as follows:—
