make an extraordinarily good compromise, but it is never as
efficient as nature's regularity. Several of the worst cases have
been regulated in the Clinic and good results obtained. A large
number of cases have been referred to Guy's Hospital or the
London Hospital.
Maternity and Child Welfare Centre.
Details of the dental work in connection with the Maternity and Child Welfare Centres are shown in the following table :—

During the year two sessions per week have been devoted to
the cases referred by the Medical Officers of the Maternity and
Child Welfare Centres. These cases on the whole show a marked
improvement in oral cleanliness when compared with those seen
several years ago.
I should like to record my appreciation of the conscientious
work of my colleague, Mr. Hall, and the two Dental Nurses, and
also to thank the Medical Officers, the Nurses, the Clerical Staff,
and the teachers for their valued assistance during the year.
