The duties of ascertainment and supervision of mental defectives
under the Mental Deficiency Act, 1913, have been carried out
in accordance with the provisions of the Act, and a number of
voluntary cases have been dealt with, according to their needs,
and the means available. (These are border-line and high grade
cases, which are not at present certifiable, some of whom require
psychological treatment.)
Routine Work.
The visitation of mental defectives under an Order of Guardianship
in their own homes or with Foster-parents, also those
placed under Statutory Supervision in their own homes, has been
carried out.
